First place the line over the tape, and then tighten the line behind the wall to make it close to the wall. The method should be able to remove most of the tape from the wall. 5. Use tap water, dishwashing detergent or white vinegar. There are some double-sided tapes that can be cleaned with soap, tap water or vinegar. If you are worried about paint damage, this method is the safest. In a plastic basin, mix hot water, dishwashing detergent and a small amount of white vinegar together. Stir until the mixture is uniform and foam. Place the towel in the foaming water, then wash the double-sided adhesive tape with the towel carefully until the edge is rolled up. Then use hand or plastic scraper to remove the tape from the wall.
